First Aid for Insect Stings
With the arrival of summer, insects are back. Bees and wasps can be dangerous for people with allergies, as a sting can have serious health consequences. Between 1% and 5% of the population is sensitized to bee and/or wasp venom. An allergy is only diagnosed once an allergic reaction occurs. If you experience severe reactions following a sting, you should seek an allergy test as soon as possible. We can determine whether you have a dangerous allergy using the basophil activation test. An emergency kit will then be prescribed.
